How to prevent rust on powder metallurgy parts?

As powder metallurgy continues to replace other parts, most parts machining is now produced using this process. Usually, powder metallurgy parts do not need to be rust-proofed after sintering, for example, stainless steel-based sintered parts will not rust. However, some parts need to be treated with a rust inhibitor so as to avoid rust on the surface of the part,Osweypm generally carries out the rust prevention of powder metallurgy parts by two methods as follows:

1. Rust prevention by chemical means (antioxidants)

Metallurgical products made of iron-based powder materials can be prevented from rusting by using antioxidants, which can form a very thin protective layer on the surface of the product, which can effectively isolate air and moisture, thus achieving the effect of rust prevention on the parts. Usage: Shake the antioxidant solution before use, immerse or spray it on the metal surface, and finally use the special dryer to dry it, then it can be packaged and shipped, and the customer can apply it in the project without any other treatment after receiving the product.

2.Spray with anti-rust oil

Spraying anti-rust oil on the surface of the product before packing can avoid rusting of the powder metallurgy parts, and the processed parts should be kept in a sealed state after spraying anti-rust oil to prevent contact with air and moisture, so that the anti-rust effect will be better.
Our commonly used antirust liquid is M316, the following are some parameters of the antirust liquid.
